In the land of strange lights

Since 1981 the night sky has been populated by colored lights (yellow, red, blue) with the strangest shapes. They remain suspended even for hours on the roofs of the houses, or they move, pulsing above the top of the mountain, sometimes slowly, sometimes at a speed of 8,500 meters per second. If struck by the laser, however, they disappear. A data measurement station has been observing those phenomena for 17 years. Which could be of terrestrial nature (in this case plasma), due to geological movements of the ground. In 2000 a research program will start involving students from the University of Bologna and from Norway.
